The imGoats India national advisory committee holds its first meeting

The imGoats India national advisory committee held its first meeting on 17 August 2011 in New Delhi to review the implementation of project activities, challenges and lessons learned; to discuss major challenges and opportunities for upgrading goat value chains; to brainstorm on related initiatives which could benefit from mutual learning; and to agree on the terms of reference for the national advisory committee.

Present at the meeting were representatives of the Government of India Animal Husbandry Departments in Rajasthan and Jharkhand; the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD); the South Asia Pro-Poor Livestock Policy Program (SAPPLPP), BAIF Development Research Foundation and the International Livestock Research Institute (ILRI).
